Application for membership of the Association is open to all and our annual and joining fees are very reasonable given the extent of the fishery.
We do not currently have a waiting list and welcome applications from fishermen and women of all ages and skill levels. Our waters favour those who prefer their fishing in unspoilt tranquil surroundings.
The association has a long standing rule that all members must reside at least 30 miles from the fishery at the start of there membership, this rule is in place to prevent the overfishing of this unspoilt resource.
Our current members have embraced the council's decision to cease stocking the river in 2006 to follow a more natural sustainable fishery.
On a recent visit by members of the Wild Trout Trust our club was commended for the efforts that had been made to promote the habitat of the wild trout that inhabit our waters, The varied size, colour and excellent condition of the fish and the superb ecosystem through the fishery were all noted in the reports we received.
If you wish to enquire about membership and the fishery then please contact the Keeper, Neil Handy, who will also be happy to arrange for prospective members to be shown around the fishery. Contact.
